This seed spawns you on a tiny island in the middle of the ocean, but directly in front of you is a mushroom island. I’m sure if you travel around the ocean far enough, you can find more islands, but in this area, this mushroom island is your survival island. If you’re up for an underwater adventure, there are also two ocean monuments close by.
Usually, you have to go pretty far out into the ocean to find an ocean monument. In this seed, you can find one in a loch-like area near the land. Then as a bonus, there is a village on land with a blacksmith and some cool extreme hills nearby.
This 1.8.0 seed is nothing less than awesome from a land generation standpoint. The game starts with a spawn high up on a ledge of an extreme hill at the cloud layer. Looking around you’ll quickly learn that you’re actually on an island, and it’s no ordinary island. From a biome standpoint it’d be considered extreme hill, stone beach and savanna for the most part.
Rabbits! That’s what you get when you spawn on this 1.8x seed. You’re not alone on this small deep ocean island. There’s rabbits hopping around the flatland that has nothing more to offer than some sunflowers. There are neighboring islands off in all directions, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to get resources to survive.
Here’s another ocean monument seed for Minecraft update 1.8.0. This seed spawns you on a very small island with no resources. When the game spawns you, you’re looking in the direction of the ocean monument (if you look in the water you can see the shape of the upper part of the structure underwater). Digging below spawn you’ll want to be careful – this is one of those ‘death by lava’ seeds. The lava isn’t that deep, either.
