Minecraft Cold Taiga Seeds

Each Minecraft Cold Taiga Seed listed below has a cold taiga biome at or near the game’s spawn point.

Mesa and Ice [Snow, Ice Spikes, and Mesa] – 1.11 Seed

This seed has two polar opposite biomes, mesa and ice plains. Each has its own benefits and formations, and the fact the mesa is a rare biome make this seed even better. Between the two, there are plenty of things to explore.

You’ll notice as you look at the two biomes, there’s a thin line of sand separating the two. Even though it’s very small, it’s still labeled as a desert. It acts as a border between the two biomes. Pick a side to explore first.

Winter Get-Away [Village, Ice Spikes, Igloo] – 1.11 Seed

This seed starts off in a plains biome, and not too far away is a village. After you get done enjoying the fair weather, you can go on a winter get-away to the cold taiga, ice plains spikes, and a little igloo. (But you won’t be the only one staying in the igloo. Unfortunately, you have roomies in the basement.)

The Abandoned Underground [Mineshaft and Dungeon] – 1.10.X Seed

On this seed, you’ll spawn in a snowy ice plains biome next to a taiga. If you are willing to traipse all over this frozen terrain, you can find both an abandoned mineshaft and a dungeon. The trek to get to these two structures may seem far, but it’s worth it for all the chests of items you can find in each.

Ice Spikes and Rare Ores – 1.10.X Seed

This seed has a gorgeous snowy terrain with a few ice spikes, a ravine full of rare ore, and an igloo with a hidden secret. It all begins by going north over the icy mountains to get to the ice spikes. Make sure to be careful of polar bears. (Or stop and say hi to them if you like playing on peaceful.)

Eskimo Territory [Snow and Igloos] – 1.10.X Seed

When you first spawn on this seed, you’re in a forest biome. Don’t be fooled by the warm climate, though. Directly in front of you sits the vast snow-covered part of the seed. If you explore around, you’ll find ice plains, ice mountains, cold taiga, and frozen river biomes. There’s plenty of snow to keep the winter-lover happy, and even a couple of igloos worth checking out.
