The Village

A Little for Everyone [Village, Ravine, Dungeon, and More!] – 1.10

There’s no shortage of things to see and do right near the spawn point in this seed. As far as biomes go on this map, there are several near each other. Plains, extreme hills, forest, mesa, and even deep ocean. Then there are the many generated structures in each biome. This seed almost has too many features to list in this post, but let’s see if we can get through them all.

Minecraft PC 1.10 Seed: -5665764817150036511

It all starts when you spawn in the middle of a forest, and to your right you can see the path that leads you right into the village.

This village doesn’t have a blacksmith to loot, but it is unique because of the biome it’s built in. Instead of being in the middle of the plains biome nearby, it’s right in the middle of the forest with trees around and in the village.

The Swamp Hut

To the north of the village, you’ll find the swamp biome. On the eastern side of the swamp is the witch’s hut. This hut is a bit unique because its entrance is in a tree. Trying to get inside takes a little work.

The Dungeon

If you’re itching to loot something, try going to the dungeon. To find it, go back to the village you spawned by. If you follow the edge of the hills to the north, you’ll find the dungeon wide open in a stone section.

The Dungeon

This zombie dungeon contains only one chest. The notable items are a name tag and two music discs.

The Ravine

For the next feature of the map, return to the spawn village again. You’ll notice a stone section running south through the village. If you follow the stone, it’ll lead you to an area with granite and a cave opening.

Go into the cave and you’ll come to an area that goes down and also continues to go forward. Go over the hole that goes down and keep going straight. Right after you come to a waterfall, there will be a section that veers to the left. If you’re going too fast, you’ll miss it and keep going straight. This left tunnel will wind you right around to the ravine.

This long skinny ravine has a lava pool at the bottom, and it’s deep enough to find gold and redstone.

The Mesa

The last feature to find is the mesa. You might have guessed that you need to return to the spawn village again to find it. From there you can head straight east across the deep ocean biome. The mesa will come into view shortly.

The Mesa

Mesa biomes are much more than just rare, colorful biomes full of clay. They’re great places to find gold. Pick a cave on the side of a mesa and chances are you’ll find a few patches of gold right on the surface of the stone.

Whew! What a seed. So many biomes. So many structures to explore. I’m sure I only scratched the surface of what this seed has to offer. See what else you can find for yourself!

  1. You seem to have your directions messed up. The dungeon is to the west, NOT the north. (The sun rises in the east and sets in the west, by the way.)
