When you first spawn on this seed, you’re in a forest biome. Don’t be fooled by the warm climate, though. Directly in front of you sits the vast snow-covered part of the seed. If you explore around, you’ll find ice plains, ice mountains, cold taiga, and frozen river biomes. There’s plenty of snow to keep the winter-lover happy, and even a couple of igloos worth checking out.

As fun as snow and polar bears are to see, this seed holds a bit more excitement thanks to the igloos. As I traveled around, I found two of them. The first is directly east of the spawn point. You’ll find it around the coordinates of 141 / 64 / 257.
Igloos are more than just snow huts with a bed, crafting bench, oven, and a rug. If you dig up the rug, you’ll find a trapdoor that leads deep down into a stony laboratory.
You can find a potion in the brewing stand, and in the chest, you’ll find a golden apple, some regular apples, wheat, and a few lumps of coal. Oh, and don’t forget the potted cactus that somehow survived the freezing cold. Whoever once operated this lab must have been dreaming of sunnier places. (Even though he could have moved right over the next hill to get to them.)
If you want to explore more creepy labs, there’s another igloo on the other side of the extreme hills south of the first igloo. Follow around the edge of the hills to the west and then continue as they curve south. Eventually, you’ll come to the igloo at the coordinates 19 / 73 / 671.
Its entrance is half-buried by snow and dirt, but once you get inside you can dig up the rug to get to the trapdoor. In this chest, you’ll find a golden apple, coal, a stone pickaxe, and some wheat. Oh, and some rotten flesh, but I don’t think we want to know where that came from. (An experiment gone wrong perhaps?)
If you want to explore a ravine, you can dig through the floor of the little igloo lab, and it will drop you right into a ravine. (It will literally drop you, so don’t be standing on the block you dig out.) This ravine holds some gold and several cave openings in case you want to go spelunking.
So there’s what I found in this snowy seed. Explore around and see what else you can find. You can even explore the warmer biomes to see what else I might have missed, and there are plenty of caves to go spelunking through in the breathtaking extreme hills.
Happy exploring, and make sure to stay warm!
